What stood out most to me was the passion that so many of us have to address these issues within our industry and how so many are committed to working together to drive change. Also the lack of awareness and effort that are put in to resolving some of these issues between the government and enforcement. Not from the attendees that spoke, but on how they transparently shared how the agencies worked and what their focus was. The lack of funding for the FMCSA was also very eye opening when they have the responsibility to do everything they can to keep our highways and roads safe for our families.

I learned a lot. I made several business connections and I enjoyed the summit. Oddly, I've been an instructor for many years and I still teach regularly, but for whatever reason, I was extremely nervous, and I can't explain why? I certainly did my best and I look forward to helping anyway I can in the future.
